Jewelcrafting update

Postby sturmy » Fri Jan 12, 2007 4:32 am

support for Naxx loot & jewelcrafting integrated. frFR is covered (definitely), enUS should work. deDE is NOT present.

Enjoy!

Hi there,

which program did you use to edit the language file? Or what is the format of the language file? When I change something in the file with UltraEdit it is corrupt.

wordpad is what I used. (yeah, I could have used vi, but I felt like I needed menus that day ;-) )

Thanks for your answer.

I changed the file format from UTF8 to unicode and back. And now it seems to be ok

It works, thats all what counts :thumright:

I got this as well at some point. Ensure that ALL your uploaders bank guildmates have done a /cp purge all and saved again the bank information. For me that solved it.

Does this fix put cut gems into a category other than Miscellaneous?

Jewelcrafting update

Postby sturmy » Fri Feb 02, 2007 1:59 am

nope. Only jewelcrafting recipes get in their own category with what I posted.

For gems to be separated, it'd need a bit more work: either a list of the gems by name for all languages or a catch-all "uses a socket" match, at the moment, I distrust that second option due to the fact the wording I was thinking about may catch any socketable item, which is not our goal. As I have no alt doing jewelcrafting ATM, I can't have all the gems either.

The happiness of open source is that somebody can pickup on where this is left ;-) Which is what I did for the recipes...

Jewelcrafting update

Postby foreseit » Sun Mar 04, 2007 6:40 pm

Can you fill me in on which files were changed between this fix & the default Categorized Guild Bank? I'm using the request mod as well, and using your files breaks the added functionality via the request mod. I'd like to go in and manually cut/paste the changes if possible. Thanks!

Jewelcrafting update

Postby foreseit » Sun Mar 04, 2007 8:30 pm

I think I figured out the files that were modified, and please correct me if I'm wrong: localiztion.php, conf.php, searcharrays.php. I tinkered with these files abit, and I got it to work how I wanted on my roster's guild bank. I did some more (relatively) heavy customization to re-order things in ways that are more useful to my guild.

I made a category I called "Cut Gems, Armor Patches, & Spellthread" to hold all of such items. I used the following code in the localziation.php, which should be fairly easy to localize between different languages.
Code: Select all
$wordings['cutgems']['enUS'] =
array(
"Matches a Yellow""Matches a Red""Matches a Blue""Only fits in a meta",
"Leg Armor""Armor Kit""Spellthread");

I've added support for deDE and corrected some small errors in german localization. In deDE gems now should all be sorted in the correct category. Maybe I will find the time to do this for enUS, too, but I don't have much time at the moment, so if anybody wants to do a little C&P at buffed.de fell free to do it by yourself :)
I'm not able to cover frFR, cause unfortunately I don't speak french.
