WoWRoster v1.7.3 fixes this issue

Starting wow 2.0.3 people have reported all kinds of update errors. I have identified the source for this problem: blizzard has slightly changed the savedvariables format. This is enough to trip up our parser in some situations.

The source of the problem is that blizzard slightly changed the format for the savedvariables.lua. Not by much, but enough to break our lua parser. I've attached an updated version.

Some additional data validity checks were also necessary. This fixes the quest insert errors people were getting even with the new parser.

To install, rename the file luaparser.txt to luaparser.php and upload it to your roster/lib/ directory (overwriting the file that's already there).
Rename the file wowdb.txt to wowdb.php, and upload it to your roster/lib/ directory as well (again overwriting the existing file).

EDIT 2:
These files have been released as a hotfix. They can be downloaded via rosterdiag, but I'll maintain them here. This also means they are now protected under CreativeCommons Attribution-Noncommercial-Sharealike like the rest of Roster is. So you can use the improved lua parser for your own purposes under the same conditions as you could use the old one.

What does this fix, PleegWat? The missing guild titles/quests/mail?

thanks mate. that did sort the Roster side of it. Now i just need to get the CP and GP to work as intended aswell, as it's not saving the professions at the min.

Primarily what this patch fixes is the LUA parser. This solves the errors on upload, and should probably solve the quest/mail problems.

I do still have the guild title problem myself. I'll look into it.

Will we still need to wait for a new version of CP/GP to come out or is 2.0.4 it?

I'm working with 2.0.4 at the moment.

There'll probably be a fix for the luaparser along later, since appearantly lua starts counting at 1 (rather than 0 as any reasonable language does)

OK there where 2 slight bugs in the fixed lua parser. One of them caused the guild title problem. I'll put the upload in the first post.

1062: Duplicate entry '28-n' for key 1

I did not have any error on parsing CP file but my Pvp logo disappear from my avatar.... I don't know why because I can my hightest rank since my update...

En tout cas votre site est toujours aussi beau... surtout avec les nouveaux skins... au passage tu n'aurais pas oublié le mdp du roster en parsant ton fichier CP ? même si c'est poas ton genre... le réveillon n'est pas si loin

Pour moi en tout cas, ça fonctionne impec avec le nouveau luaparser..... ou presque.... mais le souci est insignifiant...

It drives me crazy

On my site, I replaced the lib/luaparser.php with the new one you provided (and I deleted the old one before to make sure my change was applied)
On my computer, I deleted all files related to guildprofiler and charprofiler, in the WTF and interface folders, I just downloaded the new addon versions (2.0.4), and tested again.
All saves went well in game (no error messages in the chat)
I've got my characterprofiler.lua file populated normally with my data and all the guild members data.

When I load the file, I do not receive any errors anymore, but unfortunately it is only parsing the data of my character and absolutly nothing from my guild (and, yes the password field IS populated).

Do you see guild information in the CP file ?

Do you open the guild window for save information in game ?

Or you can type /gp export to force it....
