I've downloaded and unzipped the files for the newest version of Roster, and I've uploaded them to our host (maintaining the directory structure as instructed), but when I try to run http://carpenoctem.freehostia.com/Roster/install.php I get the following message:

Installation Error

Roster is already installed - remove the file install.php and the folder install/ in this directory.

The problem is that I have yet to actually run the install, so it couldn't have been installed.

Furthermore, to rule out the possibility that this *was* the case, I tried browsing the index page and got:
settings.php: line[102]
Could not connect to database "public_roster"
MySQL said:
2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (111)

which I'm taking to mean that it's not configured. I have not yet uploaded the imagepack(which I will do as soon as I get home), so if that's a potential source for the error, then that should be dealt with after I install it. Any other suggestions?

Nevermind. I didn't realize that I had to delete the conf.php file that came with the rest of the files.

And you are using public roster
Which is not supported here
