hello im am tring to istall wowroster on the website that we are making for my guild. I wanted to put roster on it Im new to this so im at a lost, sorry.I uploaded roster to the site and am able to run the install .php. i have created a database in mysql, and have given the username full access to the database, but when i get to step 2 of the install and put in the database name, user name, and password i get a database error. "Failed to connect to database "xxxx" as"xxxx"@localhost." cant figure out why . any help would be apprecaited thank you.

Make absolutly sure you have the server location correct
Some web hosts have their mysql on another server

Look at your control panel (if you host provides one) and look for the mysql server address

Also, make absolutly sure the name of the dbatabase you created is correct
Some hosts like to prefix the name with your username

thank you for your quick reply. that worked. i was able to get to the admin password, and it created the config file but now it could not connect to database it says
settings.php: line[102]
Could not connect to database "roster"
MySQL said:
1044: Access denied for user 'xxxx'@'localhost' to database 'roster'
