Problems with UniUploader configuration

Postby denebeim » Sat Aug 05, 2006 8:07 pm

I followed your instructions and managed to get everything with shopping cart working. However I've got a configuration problem for my guild. I want to use uniadmin to make sure all the urls are set correctly for the guildies.

The problem is that it appears that you can't put an '=' in the URL you sent. I get: http://deepthot.org/browncoats2/modules ... addon_name

every time I try to update. If I put the =shopping in it works like a champ finally. (had much grief configuring it.)

Hi denebeim!

That´s happens although you have set the right path?

Haven´t had that problem of missing "=shopping"...

It should be like:

http://www.yourserver.com/roster/ addon.php?roster_addon_name=shopping

That is correct. When I enter it into UniUploader by hand it works correctly. When I use UniAdmin to set the variable it drops the =shopping.

Anything I can do to help you debug this? I'm a software engineer so I'm very used to debugging things.

I haven´t worked with UniAdmin yet, so it´s hard for me to debug or find the solution :)

Could you please post it on UniAdmin Section two, maybe someone nows a solution...

I´ll try on to find the problem...

Thx

Hi Denebeim,

I'm having a similar problem with UU/UA. It looks like UU is the problem to me, I've posted a new topic in the UU forum - http://wowroster.net/Forums/viewtopic/p=3257.html#3257

Well, I'm really confused then. I installed UniAdmin specifically to support your program. Isn't it uniadmin that you use to up/download your data?

Hi!

It´s not UniAdmin it´s UniUploader....

UniAdmin you can use if you want that all your members have the same addons installed and up to date.

I use the UniUploader to send/recieve data(orders) from WoW :)

Solved problem? ;)

Problems with UniUploader configuration

Actually, no. My understanding was that your software was using the part of uniadmin that uploads and saves files to the website running roster. Am I confused?

I don´t need the UniAdmin part for the data transfer WoW<->WEB...

This is all done by UniUploader.

With UniAdmin (correct me if i´m wrong) you only could sync addon-folders
but we don´t need to sync the addon folder (maybe once, so that everybody has the addon installed or actual) but the main part is the sync of the SavedVaraible (Shopping.lua) which is not placed in the wow addon folder...

This could only be done by UniUploader (changing SavedVariables in WoW folder WoW/WTF/*account*/SavedVariables/Shopping.lua)

Hope this helps
