hello

I installed WoWRoster v2.0.2 with the imagepak sucessfully or so i thought. I went into the the Upload rules to add the guild and filled in the field submit, asked for password so i put it in, and it took me back to the upload rules with nothing in it. So searching the forum i see that the Addon is needed. So i went in there and clicked the little red box to install and it prompted me for the password, which i put in, and then it takes me back to the addon manager without installing the addon.


I checked the setting in Config.php and they are all correct. I am successfully connecting to the DB

It should ask for your password as you enter the admin section, and not re-ask it afterward. If it asked for your password again after submitting changes, most likely your browser is rejecting the cookie. Cookies are required for logon to stick in the admin section.

Well the funny thing is, I see the cookie in my browser setting but it continues to prompt me for the password.

Hm, no clue. You need to log in to get the the edit screen, and that should stick for the rest of the browser session, so you don't need to log in again when submitting changes. If it does offer a new login box, it's just submitted the change data to the login box, where it is discarded, so that's why the changes aren't applying.

I don't have any clue why it's re-showing the login box though. Does this happen on other config screens?

Config screens as in what? When i am changing setting for my Forums or nuke side of things it does. Once I login i am in until i log out.

There is a kicker too... I just install the previous verision (1.73) and it is working correctly. Same server just different directory and different database name.

Any thoughts?

OK.... no i am confused...

After installing the 1.73 version, the CP admin panel is working correctly. Getting deprication errors but nothing major...

try using a diffrent browser.... or set cookies to allow for sessions...

Ok

I am back to square one....

It is prompting me for the password each time in the admin area, for example I click on upload rules enter password and then click on addon management and it is prompting for the password. I have tried IE, Firefox, and Chrome without success. I have tried from 4 different computers as well, which is why I am thinking it is the server. However, I have been using my PHPNuke Forum that has been using cookies to keep that password so my server is giving the cookie and my computer is accepting them.

So I have completely removed the WoWRoster and dropped the database. Then I redownloaded WoWRoster and recreated the DB. It did not solve the problem.

Any Ideas??????

im at a loss too ... this is odd but its looking like its a server issues tho phpnuke is working .. i would suggest contacting your hosta nd see what the issue is also make sure when you do the install that you selet roster as the auth server...
