Updated and addon framework changed for GC5 addon previous versions will not work...

Our guild (and many others on our realm) is still using GC 4.5 as we've found v5 to be unreliable to date (haven't tried most recent b5 release). That's a real shame that you've made GC 4.5 no longer supported.

maybe ial split the 2 addons one for 4 one for 5... still have the old 4 file here...

The reason why this version will not work with gc 4.5 is that there lua structure and names have all been changed. the advantage of using the new gc 5 is that it also shows blizzards in game calendar info so that both interfaces would work and making it easy for one person to update the roster so that each of the members do not have the need to have gc 5 installed.

Oh sure... I get the benefits of GC5. The simple problem has been that with previous builds we've found it to be unreliable so we've reverted to GC4.5 each time.

I'll encourage our RAID leaders to give this latest version another crack... problem is though that you can't run both GC4.5 and GC5 together so we've got to go through the significant exercise of getting everyone to uninstall GC4.5 so that they us the built-in calendar and not the GC 4.5 calendar..

It would be great if we could still have the v4.5 compatible version of the Roster Group Calendar addon which could be 'community' maintained (plus whatever effort Ulminia may want to put in) and have the GC5 compat version as another dev fork.

Would you mind if I added the current GC code that works with GC4.5 into SVN as it's own addon, i.e. a GroupCalendar45 directory? Will be easier to maintain for the short term.
