[Solved]Tooltips Behind Images In An I-Frame

Postby shadowfox » Sat Jul 11, 2009 11:27 pm

I could've sworn I saw a post about this once but couldn't find it.

I have the roster I-framed in a php template page on our site but the tooltips sit behind the images. Any chance someone could help me figure out how to fix this?

thanks ahead of time.

Edit Update: Spoke with a friend and they said there was a way to make css changes where the tooltips could be risen in layer above everything else. Way above my head. This sound doable?

I don't see this issue on your site

Can you post a screenshot of this problem?

I think we already have tooltips in a higher layer. TBH, this sounds like a browser issue. Which one are you using?

whoops sorry

If you go to the site weve put the roster in an iframe. To view it in the iframe you have to use the nav link on the top right of our nav menu at http://www.shadowfox.name/hdk

Heres the SS

And I use Firefox. Sorry for the late reply :)

Access to character info is blocked so I can't see this myself.

I need access to see if there is css or some other issue that could be causing this.

The names in the members list have the same issue - my FF gets it too.

Not sure how the css is mapped, but I know that when one starts to absolutely position elements in conjunction with layers...beware hehe especially when these absolutely positioned elements are based on the :hover.
Messy business this.

I'm not seeing this at all using FireFox 3.5.2

Can you unblock access to the char page for a bit, or PM me the password?

So yesterday I did a complete reinstall up to vista. Didn't like it. Returned it got my money back and went back to XP.
Reinstalled FF with the exact same version I had ( up to date ) drivers and everything so on....

Now the issue is gone.

I have no idea what was causing the issue at all. Just in case I removed the block and the character info is accessible now.

If you can please check and make sure there isn't something wrong, just in case.
Other wise I'm going to write this off as I had something messed up with my FF.

edit: by the way the character hover tip on the main page that shows info from the entire guild list? That was behind the page as well. So I'm really thinking I had a messed up install of FF.
