Calculation problem

Look at this:

Note that I have Volcanic Breastplate/Leggings, and Wanderer's Frost Resist chest.

What's keeping my resistances from adding up correctly?

I doubt it's oversight. I would think it's by design--and good design. If you're unwilling to equip an item, it should not be measured into your maximum resistance potential.

If, for example, I am holding BoE armor (which I could feasibly equip) just for the sake of auctioning off, it would be erroneous to report the resistances provided by this armor as part of my "max resist".

I think it provides a more accurate comparison of different members, which raid leaders need when making decisions for tanking and other assignments.

But fail in some aspect...

Im clother (lock,mage or priest) i can loot items froms bosses pickups that get resistances and i can't use it .. like mail,leather o plate.

To get a "perfect" calculation the type will be a very important option.

Warrior,Paladin = ALL, Plate > Mail > Leather > Cloth
Hunter,Shaman = Mail > Leather > Cloth
Rogue,Druid = Leather > Cloth
Warlock,Mage,Priest = Only Cloth
