upload problem help

HI ive been trying to upload guild information on wowroster and i keep getting this message :

•GuildProfiler.lua is not allowed for upload

and this when doing character upload:

EU-Terokkar not accepted

Am i doing something wrong ??????

have you set your guild name and server to allow in upload rules? if nto try doing so if you have turn enforce uploadrules to off and makesure the members list addon is installed....

I'll give you a small hint

Do not upload GuildProfiler.lua
Upload CharacterProfiler.lua

And yes, read the wiki

gig you use the guild profiler addon for wow to save the guild info? then did you go to your site and try and upload character profiler?

Ok, again.

If you SEE this file : GuildProfiler.lua AND its approximately 1 KB in size, and it CONTAINES this (because, YES, you can READ these LUA files !! [a nifty tool will be about any text editor]) :

rpgoGPpref = {

["history"] = true,
["title"] = false,
["button"] = true,
["lite"] = true,
}

then you should NOT use it, not touching it - and that very good, no-one told you to do so anyway.
Just leave it.
I always delete it, but it keeps popping back again, as if the Windows File Protection System is taking care of it ....

Anyway, forget about it.

BUT

If you find in the same directory a file that is being called CharacterProfiler.lua which is several 100th of KB in size then SCREAM for VICTORY.
That's the one, upload it, with your Roster-Officer password (or admin password) and you'll be having a positive result in no time.

Re-read the wiki that Zanix stated, and see what you didn't do.....
And answer THIS question: WHERE did you MIS READ the Wiki ?
Please tell us about THAT - it will help MANY others afterwards.

The GP file contains a bunch of settings for how GP saves data. If you remove it, GP uses a set of defaults, and wow saves that again.

There's a similar array of preferences in CP.lua, which roster ignores.
