HTTP 405 - Resource not allowed

Postby Bearthunder » Thu Jan 08, 2009 5:21 am

When trying to install Uniadmin I get a "HTTP 405 - Resource not allowed" error as soon as I click the start install button.

Installation Note
UniAdmin has scanned your server and determined that it meets the minimum requirements.

Version
Using: 0.7.9

PHP Info
View phpinfo()
Version: Using: 4.4.8 Required: 4.3 or higher
MySQL Module: Available: Yes Required: 4.x or higher

All lights green on Directory Access.

I do not have controll of the webserver as it's a hosted site.

Any ideas what is wrong?

Yes, it's hosted at LFC Hosting. Not 100% sure about the server I'm on, but they're running Windows 2003/IIS6 in the foreground with more than half their servers having Linux in the background.

Because Google-ing "HTTP 405 - Resource not allowed" often boils down to a "twist with your IIS settings" to make things work.

Even a local search on wowroster.net yield the same scenario.

Googling didn't find this exact problem, nor local search. What I did find is a post from one of the coders(?) of UniAdmin saying he is aware of the problem, and will think about changing it to resolve these problems.

If this might be of any help : ttp://www.wowroster.net/Forums/viewtopi ... lowed.html

(It is local)

I think it's time that you said us where IIS breaks out.

It's more easy the you might think.

Take this line :
Code: Select all
echo "I'm here now"; die;

Locate process_step1() in modules/install.php, and put this line after each clearstatcache(); one at a time.
Save, and start the install.

When the text "I'm here now" stops showing up, and the error pops, your one line to far.

I would really help you out by installing IIS my self, but this ins't some free-source program, I haven't the OS neither can can run it.
