Cannot install - error after mysql setup

Ok now i have a problem, i started the install and when i got to the step where you enter your database info, i entered everything corrct and continued and this is what i get, i have tried many times and the same thing everytime.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: border() in /home/wlguild/public_html/roster/lib/functions.lib.php on line 165

Make sure you have all the files uploaded
If you downloaded the full pack, your ftp might have crapped out before it uploaded all the files
If this is so, try the no interface images pack roster package
This is just the code and a few images, then upload the interface images (img/Interface/)

I tried that and i still get the same error, first i tried to install the full version again and there was no time outs or missed files and i still had the same message, so then i tried the 2 seperate packages and still the same thing.

Any other ideas?

Anyone have any other ideas? i can't get this installed.

The only thing I can think of is that php cannot access mysql on your server somehow

Any other ideas other devs?
