I can't seem to get my siggen signature images to display in my guild forum. As you can see they are displaying here in your forums fine (so I must have done something right along the way ;-))

Has anyone got these to work with pnPhpBB2.

I have tried both ways with saving image to server (in this config - no images are saved to server, but images still display in this forum) and not saving images to server (with this config - images still display in this forum)

I have read this topic http://www.wowroster.net/Forums/viewtopic/t=5582.html - tried the settings to no available.

ava, sig and members dirs are all 777 and all are empty apart from the txt file telling me to 777 them.

In regards to GD libaray, only two things are not turned on with my webhost and that is XPM Support and JIS-mapped Japanese Font Support

I am using Calystos modded sig-gen, has he has been helping me via email also.

Oh I had siggen working for v.1.7.3 fine with no tweaks and it was saving images to directories. just for reference.

So I am assuming, this is a pnphpbb2 issues and I will need to modify something in those php files. I am checking their forums also for issues with signatures.

phpbb doens't let you link to php scripts as images
This is why it does not work

You could search for a way to enable php scripts as images

Or if you use the save images to server, then you need to link to those images, not the php script

Change the "Link Style" setting in SigGen Config for avatars and signatures to "Saved Directory"
Then the link shown on the character pages will show the link for the saved images

I changed it to save to dir for avatars and sig, and link style to Saved Directory.

But when checking the Dir on my webserver the folder is empty, no images have been stored on characterprofile upload. Permissions have been set to 777

Using last sig gen for roster 1.7.3 when uploading characterprofile.lua it will display a result saying all the images that have been saved - but all I get now is duplicate entry for a quest. And when I go to directory - all the images are there.

And when I enter the link in a browser to bring up image I get the error in wowroster:

roster Error
Invalid characters in addon name.

But it still works fine the other way. Just not in my forum..lol.

It is also odd, another forum I use for Runescape, tip it, that used a standalone version of phpBB my sigs work.

If I am logged in as admin and update characterprofiler.lua

should that not create all the avatar and siganature images for all guild members at the same time.

So far, it uploaded two of my member avatars - but not the sigantures.

But didn't do this for any of my guild members.

Very confusing for someone like me who is not very php friendly...or brainey..lol

You have to select the save settings under the signature and avatar configs, they are separate

You also need to activate auto save for characters
You can use auto save for guild if you want to generate a sig and avatar for every member

Yes I had all that set - but still nothing. I will try and fix pnphpbb2 since the other way works on every other forum - including a stand-alone version of phpbb3.

To get signatures working in phpbb3 take the URL from siggen and add the following right on the end of it...

Also be sure to specify the dimensions of the image. DO NOT tell phpbb to auto-discover the dimensions.

That will work for both signatures and avatars
