ok i have a treat with the comming onf WOTLK group calendar will be gone because of the ingame calendar provided by blizzard( great idea btw) i have an addon to export the data and i am reworking my databases and making a new addon callen Guild Calendar witch will takeover group calendar

all guildies dont need an addon to make or view inagme ( sweet)
events and battelground weekends are updated ingame for you (awsome)

with that all his info is ours to play with

Yes the WOTLK calendar is a great enhancement but it still misses some of the features that are actualy in GroupCalendar an GEM, as for example the role and class limits or custom channel to open the calendar to people not in the guild.
Concerning GEM there are investigations done to see if it makes sense to keep the blizzard calendar as a base for an addon adding the missing features.

everything is open and nothing is decided, so perhaps GEM will stay a standalone addon, but one thing is sure, there will be an extra addon or plugin allowing the sync with a web part an this in both directions allowing this way to subscribe on the web part an get this informations back IG

id love to find a way to thow stuff back in game but i hate trying to maker arrays .. once wotlk is out and the calendar is finsihed i will se what features ther are and maybee ial have both running to geather or somthing but this will be the new look of the calendar
