Ok, so I have WoWRoster installed and successfully working. Anyway I downloaded the QDKPViewer addon for roster and dumped it into the addon folder of WOWRoster like i read here but the thing is I have no idea how to use / install the QDKPViewer for WOWRoster, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I've looked everywhere on the boards here including the wikki page and I cant seem to find anything on how to install / use the QDKPViewer. So it's either not here or burried so deep on this site that I cant find it.

this may not be what you are asking, but did you goto wowroster and then click on utilities and control panel and then put in your admin password and then look on the right side and see an option for addons then select the dkp addon to activate it, then you can go back to the control panel and look towards the bottom, there should be a list of all the addons and if you click on it there is usually another menu that comes up to let you config the program.

I'm talking about instaling it in 1.7.3 not the 2.0 with the no disrespect but hideous look to it. I prefer the layout of 1.7.3 over that of the 2.0.

Anyway, likes and dislikes aside the QDKPViewer is supposed to work with 1.7.3 I just dont know how to install it on 1.7.3

Ya I looked again after my post and saw that to, I coulda swore it was also for 1.7.3 ;-/

Anywayto get it o work with that, if mods are made right and based off the same code they should be backwards compatible.

sorry to disappoint you but i made no 1.7.3 version of this. and dont have it planned atm to make one.

about the backwards compatibility it sadly aint that easy. but feel free to grab my code and make a roster 1.7.3 version out of it.

As sad as it seems my lvl of PHP knowledge doesnt even come close to being that understanding of backwards engineering. On a related not maybe you can point me in the right direction with htis next question. I already have a QDKP web page in place it's just not compatible to be integrated with WoWRoster so with that said here goes what should be my final question regharding this, well final two questions.

1. The "buttons" that lead to the diff parts of the "site" like roster, keys etc could you please make me one in the same way with text centered, size & text color etc. that says ( DKP Roster ) please... without the () of course.



2. With that said, see in the middle block of the pic where the Keys button is, assuming I can get a button that says DKP Roster to match the already existing buttons where in what I'm assuming would be the index.php file would the HTML for the button image need to go to be placed in the middle block but just under the Keys button ?

There is no easy way to add buttons to 1.7.3, but check out the forum link addon.

Obviously problems would arise if I wanted to enable certain features again but I have thigns the way I like it minus the button I want to add. I just need to know where in what I assume would be the index.php file the following code. I already actualy figgured that much out, heck that was the easy part. Like I said after realizing those buttons arent images at all I had to re-think this whole idea. So like I was saying in the edit of my last post.

The blue "AddOns" text is added in lib/menu.php

menu.php also handles the placement of the all buttons
The buttons not in the "AddOns" section are hard coded
The addon buttons are placed however they are scanned
menu.php scans the addon directory looking for a file named menu.php in each addon folder
menu.php then scans the addon's menu.php and adds a button to the menu

Ok so removing the blue AddOns text should be fairly easy as you've described. But how about changing their placement to any of the existing three blocks where the existing buttons are. From the way it sounds it's all in the menu.php file, but I wouldnt even know where to begin looking to get the buttons where I want them (in any of the three blocks where the existing buttons are).

The look is hard coded using html tables

Remove the print '<span style="color:#0099FF;... line to remove the text
print $addons; is what prints the addon buttons

function makeAddonList() is what scans the addons folder for menu.php files
