So where's the break down?

I've verified that I truly do have Java 6, but it keep telling me I need Java 6 to run certain features.

So how about we get a definitive explanation as to what we need to download to get this to work as there are, at last count, 30+ different things to download that are "JAVA" at http://java.sun.com.

Perhaps a direct link to which download we need to be running, ie, which version, instead of the generic domain...
