The WoWRosterDF 2.0 public beta!

We now have a complete Dragonfly installer thanks to Zanix and his hard work. This version of WoWRosterDF installs like any other module from Dragonfly's module admin control panel. Zanix has designed the installer to allow you to change the name of the module directory to allow more than one install like 1.7.3 had.

Those who have downloaded the Alpha version this version will install with no troubles to you, but it is going to be best to remove all the Alpha db tables as well as removing the rosterdf row with in the cms_modules table to completely clean Dragonfly of the Alpha version.

We have one piece of bad news, there will be no upgrade from lower versions of Roster.

Now, I know what you are saying. WTF?!?! I neEDDDZs it!
We sympathize, but we determined that the amount of new data that 2.0 collects, combined with the completely new table layouts, and the fact that Roster itself is so vastly different this time around, justifies the lack of an upgrade path.

So we are very sorry, clean installs only for Roster 2.0.
...But it's soooo worth it!

As for upgrading from the beta's to the final release, the upgrader has been improved so it is going to be possible.

Please create a new thread in this forum for any bugs encountered, code snipits to help out, suggestions, or help with addons.

As always, we would like this release to be as stable as possible.
So give this a thorough workout and post your feedback.

Roster 1.x addons will not work with Roster 2.0

This is a fix for the rosterdf theme which will make the theme work and look just like Roster 2.0 but with in DragonflyCMS. To apply this fix please copy/over write the code into your {df_root}/modules/{roster_df}templates/{rosterdf}/styles.css

On my new DF 9.2.1 installation I couldn't get the roster to work. Under the Module admin, the install seems to work, it can be activated, however once you visit the module, you see a screen that looks like WoWRoster wasn't installed, or configured. The problem is that there doesn't seem to be a way from the screen that's presented to actually do the config/install.

I got the roster working by doing a seperate install in the root of my domain, not integrated into DF at all. You can see it at http://www.theclannguild.com/roster It's working great, but I was hoping for the DF integrated version to work and look the same.

New question - Do we have an ETA for svn 1785 ported for Dragonfly users?

I should have something ready soon, I just need to make some time one of these nights. I have already updated my current svn copy which now all that is left is to update my df version which shouldn't take much time at all. One thing I also want to get done is login.php to use df auth.

Just checking back in,,,,,any update to a 1785 release for DF users? I don't want to be a pest, just hoping to run the latest code.

Do you have the css patch?

Any idea when a new version will be out now that it's been release?

Hate it when that happens, everyone knows that writing code is easy, it's the TESTING that's hard

I Know besides being busy im also being a tab bit lazy... I am still working on it though I need to fix a few things in the cmslink.lib.php which is causing issues with a few forms I also would like to make a new login.php for df to allow auth by groups. I do have a new guild site up where I am doing testing granted it has not been updated to the new Release code yet.

Just checking in to see if we have any progress on the Dragonfly update. I also wanted to see if there was anything we can do to help?

My biggest request for the Dragonfly udpates is to get the ability to do the Armory Sync. Since most of my guild(ok, nobody) in my guild actually uploads their profile other than me.

since i am working on other thing the last weeks i have not tested a lot and so i gave not as much feed back as i liked to.

Any news ?
