patch 2.4 - 9 "new" classes

Postby mc_k » Sun Mar 30, 2008 3:42 pm

with 2.4 blizz introduced the sexus in the classes (not sure if also in the english version, but in the german the classes are now categorized in male/female)

meaning:
priest/priestress (in english)

priester/priesterin
jäger/jägerin
krieger/kriegerin

and so on

fine with me, now i can invite only female charas in partys to increase the boobs in the inis

not fine with my roster, since i have now 9 "new" classes listed (the female classes (sexus))
Image

what now? fault of guildprofiler? characterprofiler? has roster to be patched? (btw: using 1.7.3)
or havent heard of this problem? (maybe blizz only made this "feature" for us krauts heh? :( )

patch 2.4 - 9 "new" classes

Postby Nefuh » Sun Mar 30, 2008 5:36 pm

Here´s a workaround for displaying the icons and to colorize the class names:

Open deDE.php and search for:

Code: Select all
'Krieger'=>'INV_Sword_25',

Insert directly after that line:

Code: Select all
'Schurkin'=>'INV_ThrowingKnife_04',
'Jägerin'=>'INV_Weapon_Bow_08',
'Druidin'=>'Ability_Druid_Maul',
'Magierin'=>'INV_Staff_13',
'Priesterin'=>'Spell_Holy_LayOnHands',
'Hexenmeisterin'=>'Spell_Shadow_Cripple',
'Kriegerin'=>'INV_Sword_25',
'Schamanin'=>'Spell_Nature_BloodLust',

This is for the icons of the new female class names (just the sames as the male). Now to the color of the class names. Open styles.css in the css folder of your roster.

Search for:

Code: Select all
.classDruidintxt { color:#FF7C0A; }

and insert directly after this line the following stylesheets:

Code: Select all
.classJägerintxt { color:#AAD372; }
.classMagierintxt { color:#68CCEF; }
.classPaladintxt { color:#F48CBA; }
.classPriesterintxt { color:#FFFFFF; }
.classSchurkintxt { color:#FFF468; }
.classSchamanintxt { color:#00DBBA; }
.classHexenmeisterintxt { color:#9382C9; }
.classKriegerintxt { color:#C69B6D; }

This only works on german rosters.

patch 2.4 - 9 "new" classes

Postby mc_k » Sun Mar 30, 2008 9:09 pm

phew.. thanks alot...
seems there has to be written tons of workarounds now..
and i thought blizzard added the sexus for every language..

great.. first for some rant in the official forums, and then... edit tons and tons of roster&eqdkp addons

the "Equipped Gear by Member"-addons seems horrible.. now i cant compare female hunters with male ones, cause they are listed as seperate classes xD

hmmpf
..
hey.. just got an idea: write a cronjob -> executed script that replaces all females with males..

i wonder if this could do (..or most likely, if my host will be happy to see a script running every...10 minutes or so)
hmm...how much traffic do you think this will cause at a guild with ~150 members?

Or Modify the Database a little. Add a display Class column. Only main change then is to the Update section. apart from the minor sections for display. :)

patch 2.4 - 9 "new" classes

Postby lunzet » Tue Apr 01, 2008 3:19 pm

The workaround mentioned is for Roster 1.7.3 correct? Does anyone know a similar workaround for Roster 2.0 or is someone working on a fix for this? Or does Roster 2.0 not need any fix/workaround?

edit: You might forget about my question as I do not see any issues in my Roster 2.0 with these new classnames....am I right?

french fix :

// Class Icons-Array
$wordings['frFR']['class_iconArray'] = array (
'Druide'=>'Ability_Druid_Maul',
'Druidesse'=>'Ability_Druid_Maul',
'Chasseur'=>'INV_Weapon_Bow_08',
'Chasseresse'=>'INV_Weapon_Bow_08',
'Mage'=>'INV_Staff_13',
'Paladin'=>'Spell_Fire_FlameTounge',
'Prêtre'=>'Spell_Holy_LayOnHands',
'Prêtresse'=>'Spell_Holy_LayOnHands',
'Voleur'=>'INV_ThrowingKnife_04',
'Voleuse'=>'INV_ThrowingKnife_04',
'Chaman'=>'Spell_Nature_BloodLust',
'Chamane'=>'Spell_Nature_BloodLust',
'Démoniste'=>'Spell_Shadow_Cripple',
'Guerrier'=>'INV_Sword_25',
'Guerrière'=>'INV_Sword_25',
);

/*******
* Class colorization
*******/
.classDruidtxt { color:#FF7C0A; }
.classDruidessetxt { color:#FF7C0A; }
.classHuntertxt { color:#AAD372; }
.classChasseressetxt { color:#AAD372; }
.classMagetxt { color:#68CCEF; }
.classPaladintxt { color:#F48CBA; }
.classPriesttxt { color:#FFFFFF; }
.classPrêtressetxt { color:#FFFFFF; }
.classRoguetxt { color:#FFF468; }
.classVoleusetxt { color:#FFF468; }
.classShamantxt { color:#00DBBA; }
.classChamanetxt { color:#00DBBA; }
.classWarlocktxt { color:#9382C9; }
.classWarriortxt { color:#C69B6D; }

hmmm..lunzet? what language are you using?
seems that in english the names havent been changed (or else there would have been more rant-threads on the official forums ;) )

patch 2.4 - 9 "new" classes

Postby lunzet » Wed Apr 02, 2008 5:03 pm

I am using the german client. I think I heard that all non-english clients do have that change by now.

In my Roster 2.0 I do see all the chars correctly although I did not change anything since patch 2.4. I just want to confirm is Roster 2.0 does have a similar issue like 1.7.3 or not.

I'll double-check. roster 2.0 may use the classEN field, rather than the localized class field.
