CGB won't load consistently

I have been getting only sporadic loading of this addon ... it DOES load sometimes, so I know I did something right, but often it will simply load a blank page with only

Just loaded fine for me... which is good and bad I guess

and this morning it won't load at all for me again.

I wonder if this might have anything to do with it:

On the roster diag. page, the config values show the wrong database. But when I look at the actual config.php file (auto-generated and unchanged) it shows the correct one.

Where does roster diag pull the info from? The DB it's showing is my forum DB.
