Forum addon for WoWRoster 2

Hi,

A while back I made a little addon to add a button that redirects to a forum.

I remade this Addon to use the magnificent extra features that the new WoWRoster provides, like the configuration menu.

So, download the .zip file, unzip it in your addons folder, go to the rostercp and install the addon. A forum button will be added to the Utilities panel.

There will be a new Addon Config option called Forum in rostercp where you can enter the name of the forum and the link to the forum.
The link may be relative or absolute.

You can see how it works on our guild site.

Localisations have been done in deDE, enUS and frFR. If anyone wants to help me with the esES, it would be much appreciated.

Roster provides a way to add links to the menu in RosterCP -> Menu Config

Well at least I learned the new addon structure...

I just tried it, with ../forum as the URL, didn't work: it gives the following error: "Invalid characters in module name".

I deleted the button and made a new one with the fully qualified URL and it worked.

Good job on learning the new addon system, may you make more, useful addons in the future

Yeah, it does require a full url since it detects the http:// and treats it as a real url
If you don't, then it passes it through the makelink() function, which is made to link to a part of Roster

Is that safe? Would it be possible for an admin to (mistakenly or not) make a link to a function which is normally protected, but that protection is bypassed by using this direct link? I haven't looked at the authentication system in depth yet, so I might be writing down "crazy-talk" here... It was just a thought.

No, if an admin makes a link to say 'rostercp'
It will still be protected because the auth sits in rostercp itself
