Is there a possibility of setting up the news so it can be shown under motd or even on the guild info page. The button is kinda missed since it is under the utilities section.

The current structure of Roster doesn't allow buttonsoutside of the menu
Roster also doesn't allow an easy way for info from other addons in other addons, the addon you would want to display the news in would have to be coded to do this

You can set the default page in RosterCP to the news

Then is there a way to move the button from utilities to guild information?

Yes, but it's a utility addon
It wasn't designed to be guild aware
