[FIXED] Grabbing files from wowace is broken

Downloading the list of addons from wowace.com started failing in jUniUploader 0.9.15.4 a few days ago. It generates these messages:

[Fatal Error] :2:6: The processing instruction target matching "[xX][mM][lL]" is not allowed.
[ SEVERE | 264:com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.DOMParser.parse() ]:
# HTML could not be parsed!
# (DOMParser.java:264) org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The processing instruction target matching "[xX][mM][lL]" is not allowed.
# (Logger.java:227) java.lang.RuntimeException: HTML could not be parsed!

The reason is fairly clear; wowace has a totally new interface at files.wowace.com: Generated by WowAce's Packagemancer (1.5.110).

It is now more than just a single page listing of the zips and short descriptions. It is multiple pages with a category selector bar, a title banner, next/previous buttons, etc.

jUniUploader continues running, displaying only profiler addons.

Yes, but for me one of the selling points of jUniUploader was that it doesn't have this requirement:

I run Linux and don't even own a Windows OS anymore. Meanwhile, I am updating the Ace addons by hand with wget and manual unpacking.

Doubtful since there are a bevy of community created and supported "updaters" that are floating around that work.

The format probably did change slightly but not much because UniAdmin still gets the list

Why would they lock access?

It brings in traffic.

I made a version of UU with a wowace tab and it worked, but I don't think I'm going to release it because I lost the motivation

Sorry for being dead all this while. I've just got my ISP to activate my internet after having moved (took them about a month -_-).

Anyway; will start working on this as soon as I can.

jUniUploader has been upgraded to work with the new files.wowace.com.

It now fetches its data from an XML feed from wowace which provides a lot more information about the ace addons than before. I'm considderring expanding the addon manager to be a full-featured dependancy-supporting package manager.

I update all my WOWACE stuff with Subversion. I just run "svn up" in all the addon directories. Under Windows, I have a batch file that dips into each addon directory and runs "svn up" there. It also does it for Auctioneer and Gatherer, both available via Subversion. (See below for my batch file.)

I only wish WoWRoster were available this way. It's a lot easier than downloading and unpacking zip files, and it preserves any local modifications I make, while making it easy to tell what I customized.
