svn[1286] - php error

It is mostly because of cost. Most hosters don't change the software installed on a server until their customers start complaining. It costs them money to change it out. The software might be free, but the labor to install the new stuff is not.

Yup, I agree !... as I already said in my last post about admin's not being present (I mean: the real ones :wink:).

So, PHP4 will be shifted to PHP5 when things really go down (losing that double RAID again :lol: euuuh : :( ) and the software to re-install isn't just there anymore : thousands of sites just wake up in the morning, speaking version 5 - with their admin's even knowing what happened - in a best case scenario.

I knew back then why I wanted to pay a little bit more than 'strictly needed'.

On the other hand: we’re all protected by a famous rule: “Don’t touch a running system”.
Of course, here at wowrsoter.net they are thinking the other way around: “Making it work better…”
