The question is simple although i actually think the solution will not be.

And a totally separate thing like sorting stuff by lvl of item?

Actually seeing as i could not get myself working in Categorized Guildbank you saw it earlier any chance you might be make a similar thing?

Only very limited alternative sortings are currently possible, IIRC only the item level required is stored separately. There have been some ideas for storing all item attributes separately, but they're sketchy at best, and will take months, possibly even years, before they get released. If you want such functionality you'll have to get someone to write an addon for it, or write it yourself.

We talked without the GuildBank holders and decided to do the following. They will sort stuff in their bags on each bank character so that when people go to the Roster they can click the bank character and select Bank/Bags for that character.
However other players do not want their bag and bank contents display. So my question is: Is it possible to make wowroster by default disable the display of banks and banks for all users but i could select manually characters that have to have banks and bags displayed for them?

I know right now there is an opposite option you can select what not to display for a character in roster.

You can specify a string to match in a character's entry to treat that character as part of the bank group. Those without that string will be excluded from the bank. This string can be in the public note, officer note, title, name, or rank (you get to choose guild-wide).

Typically you put "bank" in the character's officer note.
