Problem installing

Downloaded the full pack of 1.7.3 the other day to try and add it to our guild website after getting it recommended. The problem is I can't install it. When i try to access the install.php through a browser i get an internal server error.

I have checked that all files are uploaded and can't seem to find any difference between the original on my harddrive and the one uploaded onto the webserver. I have changed the permissions on the .php files so that they can be written to and executed. I have tried to follow the install instructions step by step. I'm not sure what to try next.

I have created a mysql database for the roster and I'm using php on other applications on the site so that shouldn't be a problem.

This is what i get coti.

Would appreciate any ideas that can help me solve this.

The problem seems to be with all roster's PHP files. Is PHP configured correctly on the server?

Not sure all the info I see is that it says php version 5.2.1. Using control panel to set up stuff. I know I have fixed the read/write/execute rights on the files and they are all readable writeable and executable.

Uploaded it again with another ftpsoftware and it didn't detect any error. Now when i try to install i get this msg:

Addy to the file is www.cotisle.com/roster/install.php

Make absolutely sure that there is indeed a file template.php in roster/install/

Yes there was something strange with the permissions and such.
