Sadly this seems to have gone very quiet! I have the front page block aspect working for lotro, I have links being generated, can anyone give me some pointers as to how I can use those links to trigger differing application forms and post them in a formatted fashion ?

Sorry!! Real life went crazy for a bit! Things went nuts, so I took a week off, and set aside the NEXT week to work on only this... then my daughter got sick, and that idea got thrown out the window... and now.. FINALLY!! ... I absolutely cleared the deck this week, and this will be out by saturday. (At least, for starters, the Horde version for testing.) This is the ONLY thing I have to do this week, my daughter is out of town, and I'm on "vacation" simply to get this done.

Update: the form itself is almost done, simply finishing up the class definitions, then all I have to do is the posting capabilities.

class definitions done. tomorrow i'll do the message preparation for posting, then start on the actual posting part tomorrow.

Is it possible to have applicant register with the forum first before they apply?
So that it is a one single process, rather having the applicant needing to register for the forum after accepting their app.

I, personally, don't want that feature... however! .. I'm going to include instructions on how to add that functionality - basically, to block users who aren't registered from getting to the application, and send them to a registration screen instead.

Due to the fact that a couple people have asked for it, I may actually make it a config option instead of an add-on feature. It shouldn't be all that tough to add into it, as it's a simple if option is yes -> check for registered user -> if not registered, send to login/registration.

Can be the apply posted on a new post on defined forum zone ?

And a option to make a "private" applys direct to Private message to officer recruitment and officer class.

I can't wait till this is ready... i have started a revamp of my forum and this is one of the items the officers are really looking forward too

Demo board is looking good, I also ment to check, is the mod (thats a little strong - more of a large find and replace of laod of values!) to make it work with LOTRO any use to you or indeed to anyone else ?

If you have anything I can start tweaking that would be great - especially as I guess all of my questions (well most of them!) will be different!

I will also let yo know how I get on trying to make this work in phpBB3 and one of the relevent portals

I postnuke and I believe this mod could be used with postnuke if you use the pnphpbb stuff.. I will see what I can do, most of pnphpbb2 stuff changes are in how the theme is located However, the code is very simular. This almost sounds like it is it's own stand alone module that plugs into the database am I right?
