The guild I am a member of plays a MMORPG (Shadowbane) other than WoW. But, we really need some sort of guild member or roster module. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything that suites our needs. I am probably going to move our current website to DF, but I haven't found any roster mods that are "generic": They all seemed to be oriented towards one game or another.

Thus, would it be possible to use the function of WoWRoster without need to retrieve the character information from the WoW servers?

While it is *possible* to change the code to work with another MMORPG, you would basically be looking at a complete rewrite

You'd definitely be looking at a major rewrite of the roster system. If using the current roster as a base is useful depends on what the game supports, and how well you know the roster source. If there is no addon support in that game, you may as well forget about roster since any similar system would need you to manually enter all of the data.
