So like all of us that use dragonfly have always wanted to sync our memebrs up with our forum groups. I have taken alook at the phpbb_group addon and have modified it to work with Dragonfly. Please let me know of any problems that you may have. There is a readme file that was aready made which will help you configure this addon.

I have uploaded an updated version to fix the links due to leo not working yet.
I needed to add index.php?name= before every $script_filename. Im still looking into a way to offer leo though for now when using this addon you will have to turn leo off this should only effect the configuration part.

Is anyone having any troubles with this?

I have been slacking on my forum visits.. but this sounds Awesome. I will try to check it out in the next day or two!

Can I get some more info on how to set this up? What files need editing? Is it supposed to auto collect a list of groups, if so I am not doing something right.

Sorry for that there I thought I also included the readme.txt. there is a conf.php fil that needs some editing there is a field

this is the prefix of the group it will look for and configure the sql string uses the Roster: % to determine the group. there for it is also best to rename you groups to use what ever prefix that you want after this has been set you can goto the group config and pick a group to associate the rank to then update the groups. This unfortunately will only work with leo linking off.

Just installed this today, it was VERY easy, short of finding WoW rank id #'s.
I got my numbers straight from the roster_members guild_rank.
Did the same for group ID's.

I made a default phpbb group "Enlisted", this script will put EVERYONE in your "default" group. Then just make special group(s) for the ranks.
I simply made an "officers" group and added the 4 guild ranks to it.
These people will remain in the default group, but will also be included into your "special" groups!

*What I would like to see*
sync rank to rank.
ex. compares user names and roster as above script.
then pulls roster rank id # from roster_members guild_rank,
convert it to the phpbb rank id #, then insert it to phpbb_user user_rank.

(our forums have same ranks as wow and are static, not point related)

I have wanted that as well, but have not looked into building it yet. I think it would be pretty easy by changing a few things in the group sync or maybe adding this new feature to it. I would be willing to try it though in 1.8

Well I completed the MOD to the addon I had, only to find the Addon here is NOT the same as what I have..
What's worse is I've searched all the forums and addons and can't find it anywhere!
Sorry for the confusion, I thought I was moding your project.
I'm going to post the addon again and hope someone knows who to give original credit too.

Now it works like a charm
