Jewelcrafter addon

Postby Hyper » Wed Mar 14, 2007 12:00 am

I was glancing through other websites wth roster and noticed one that had an addon that I would really like to have, but I can't find any information on it. I hope someone in the community knows more about it and can help me out.

The site I saw it on is http://guildca.arak-arahm.org/roster/ad ... name=Gemme

I googled "wow roster gem addon" and gemme too and found nothing related to this addon. Can someone help me out?

I think you stumbled upon someone designing a new Roster addon

Yeah, I also noticed that "Gems" addon on some guild's Roster. I've seen a few addons here and there that haven't been available to download (most are not even mentioned on the forums here), that I'd like to get hold of. Shame not everyone respects the GPL Lisence.

The GPL license isn't directly relevant. Roster is under a CreativeCommons license. Most addons don't explicitly mention a license.

I know the Gemme addon, by titan99, is under development. There's a version in the addon SVN, and he said he'll publish it once he's happy with how it works.

Jewelcrafter addon

You can't fault people for not wanting to make something available until it's finished. Nobody's happy with a half-finished product...

But it would be nice if they get to a certain point, and then make people aware of it, so we can have a preview... After all, that way they may even get some help with testing and finishing it off!

Jewelcrafter addon

Meta gems are showed like red,blue and yellow because in description you can read some like that...

Require at least 5 Red gems
Require at least 5 Yellow gems
Require at least 5 Blue gems

you need change mysql line something like '%red%' and not like '%meta%'
Spanish translation :D
Code: Select all
<?php
$wordings['esES']['gemme_title_addon'] = 'Gemas';

$Gem_info['esES']['Gem_title']="Gemas para la Ranura";
$Gem_info['esES']['Objet']='Objeto';
$Gem_info['esES']['Name']='Nombre';
$Gem_info['esES']['level']='Nivel';
$Gem_info['esES']['compo']='Reagentes';
$Gem_info['esES']['crafter']='Quien puede hacermelo';

//Craft Name
$Gem_info['esES']['Gem']="Gemas";
$Gem_info['esES']['sill']="Joyeria";

//slot name
$Gem_info['esES']['slot']="Ranura";

//color
$Gem_info['esES']['type']['blue']="Azul";
$Gem_info['esES']['type']['red']="Rojo";
$Gem_info['esES']['type']['yellow']="Amarillo";
$Gem_info['esES']['type']['meta']="meta";

?>

Just replace index.php line 76-95:
Code: Select all
        if ($matchBlue == true)
        {
      $type['blue'][$countB]=$row;
      $countB++;
        }
   if ($matchRed == true)
        {
      $type['red'][$countR]=$row;
      $countR++;
        }
   if ($matchYellow == true)
        {
      $type['yellow'][$countY]=$row;
      $countY++;
        }
   if ($matchMeta == true)
        {
      $type['meta'][$countM]=$row;
      $countM++;
        }

with

Code: Select all
       //first checking for a metagem, because it matches the other colors too ;-)
        if ($matchMeta == true)
        {
      $type['meta'][$countM]=$row;
      $countM++;
        } else
        {
          if ($matchBlue == true)
          {
      $type['blue'][$countB]=$row;
      $countB++;
          }
     if ($matchRed == true)
          {
      $type['red'][$countR]=$row;
      $countR++;
          }
     if ($matchYellow == true)
          {
      $type['yellow'][$countY]=$row;
      $countY++;
         }
       }

Re: Jewelcrafter addon

This add on seems most excellent, however I seem to be having a problem and was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I get this error on the main screen;

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/content/E/q/u/myaccount/html/roster/addons/Gemme/index.php on line 130

The code for that line is;

foreach($tmp as $item)

Is there something I need to change to fix it?

Any help is greatly appreciated! :mrgreen:

Only solution I can think of:
You are using a roster_lang which is currently unsupported by this addon, otherwise this error shouldn't occur. deDE, frFR and enUS are supported "out of the box". esES must be added afterwards, code piece for esES.php can be found above.
