:thumright: Here it is! The start of a roster addon you all want! :thumleft:

Since over a year ago I followed a project like this over here: Gatherer Reet

Some time back the project was more or less abandon and I thought man what a loss, someone should pick it up!

So with the help of Zanix and Zeryl the parser is near finished, and the interface is about complete...

I hope to post it with in the next week...

--- Future plans to include data from MetaMap TRK and perhaps MetaMap WKB... I have also looked into sharring my data and the data of MobMap in the database...

Haven't thought about it yet... Can you send or post me a copy of the .lua for the nodes saved via Cartographer?

The thing about Cartographer is that it's modular. The base install does not include any gathering functions, and external mods need to be installed to do this. The modular addons scan what professions your toon has and if your toon doesn't have a specific profession they unload freeing up memory.

If you want to create lua's for other gathering professions, here is a mod that will import nodes/notes from Gathering mods (MetaMap, Gatherer) to Cartographer.

Carthographer would be very nice :)

My whole guild use it because of the nice gather features:

- Mining
- Herbs
- Quests
- Vendors
- Treasures
- Questitems
and many more

And we can share all notes in the guild with the build in share funktion. I used Gatherer a long time. But now I love Carthographer.

When Iam at home, I will send you some saved variables.

Thanks for the lua files everyone... Just need them to work on the parser... I hope to have the base gatherer version up for download soon and shortly there after mods for Carographer and MetaMap.

hmm i think cartographer is able to share while u play... so i think a bit useless ^^ just my opinion...

about gatherer i dont know...

Gatherer has this too, for parties and guilds, I think raids too... Never the less their is some in game addons for this... GatherSync and what not...

But my thought is this, GatherSync is like a lag bomb when you dump a 1.5mb file :-)

So, why not centralize it for sync while out of WOW...

BTW: If anyone has a copy of Gatherer.lua from pre 2.2 or so I'd love to have a copy...

What I'm looking for is Fishing nodes (pools & wreckage)....

Anyone know if those items are tracked in Cartographer?

I don`t no how to implement but it would be nice to have a Search function in this addon.
My Idea is search for Iron and the addon tells all areas sort by numbers of spots.

*hope anyone can translate my bad english* :scratch:

This should come in due time. The first thing that must be done is to get duplicates filtered. Because as it stands very many people uploading their lua file will quickly fill up the database.

By the way if you've been running the gatherer addon for a few days now you might want to check your database server to see about the status of the gatherer table. It may need to be emptied.

*Your English seems better than some people who speak it as their primary language.*

But yes I'm planning to integrate some searching functions as soon as Foxy releases the duplicate filtering (which is no easy task I can assure you).

Just a quick check in... I've gone over this for over a week now and the scripts I've tested and those I've talked to have lead me to believe that the upload and functions.php are going to have to be serperated from the roster...

The reason is the scripts time out when parsing such large files... I'll continue to test this and work on seperating the updater...

I may post the current test script so that others can test it too... Who knows it might just be my system... Or perhaps someone may have some insight as to what is causing the script to time out.
