New features are only usable with 0.7.6 anyway, so for now just stick on the previously released one till 0.7.6 of UA is out

Another warning I wanna add is that currently that Windows UU 2.5.0 is currently not able to get the addons that do not have the full path. So once you upgrade 0.7.6, WoW Ace stuff will not work for the windows users yet, till the new release of UU. Also you still need to Re-pack manually added addons for UU compatibility.

If you don't need a GUI, consider using a shell script that invokes gzip and cURL:

I wrote it as a Windows batch file but it's trivial to convert it to the shell language of your choice.

My desire was to have a proof of concept that lets me upload passworded guild data to multiple guilds with different passwords, and I didn't want to have to launch UniUploader several times with different profiles.

phpUniUploader is much more than just a shell script to be honest. But indeed, if a shell scripts does what you require.....I dont see why not lol.
for me....a shell script will never be enough.

I'm not constantly changing what I upload. A fancy GUI is overkill for me. A text editor is sufficient. I get the settings in my script done once and I never touch it again.

I don't use UniUploader for addon management, so I didn't need anything like that in a script.

Is there some other feature of UU that I should be aware of that I lose with a script?

Only autoupload on file change really....which could be done in a bit more advanced shell script. phpUniUploader does not have a GUI btw. CLI only.

Hey Mathos,

I just wanted to let you know that I have been using the r643 release with 0.76 of UniAdmin for a couple weeks now without problem. I also have not been using WoW-Ace, so I have no feedback on that. Otherwise, it's been working great, thanks again.

Grand to hear buddy.

I have found a bug myself though.
It will only process one of the SV Files defined. Usually that is CharacterProfiler.lua which is the most important one.

I am trying to fix it but it is kinda hard because the split characters are not 100% waterproof.

I will post here if I find a cure.

jUU is written in Java, will support Mac OSX, Linux, Windows, and possibly any other OS that has a Java VM.

It requires Java 5+, Java 6 preferred; is currently in active development nearing beta testing so you can try it out without risking to blow stuff up. It was written and tested in Linux.

Thanks, already installed it yesterday.
Still to heavy for the functionality for me. I dont need any gui's tbh. phpUniUploader is what I shall use, but definately a nice job there!!!
It is quite nice for people that have limited technical knowledge and are on a mac/linux box, and still want to automate uploading.

I like the Ace Updater that you build in (although it is not working flawlessly) so I might adopt such a feature in phpUniUploader as well.

Hey Mathos,

I have since noticed what you mentioned earlier. Not only does it only update the Character Profiler Addon... it will download the file every time. I have Character Profiler, CT_RaidAssist, and CT_RABossMods all on uniadmin. Here is a copy of one section of my log. This is what happens every time:

It looks like phpUni tries to unzip it in the WoW root dir.
Which is weird though as it is working fine here.

I am about to update it anyway for that other bug that I mentioned sometime earlier.

I will re-build the tool using the latest UniAdmin and see if that will solve the issue, and then we shall see if that resolves your issue too.

Oh, I think I changed the temp directory to the WoW root directory, because it was getting errors elsewhere. That shouldn't effect the process, though, should it?

Or should it be unzipping straight to the AddOns directory?

Anyway, it is not urgent and I can wait for the update and let you know how that goes.
