The recruitment block is just a file.

I think it would be better to package the files already structured.

If anyone is unsure about how the structure is for DF here's a quick run by on what goes where when it comes to this addon.

/blocks/block-Recruitment.php
/language/english/application.php
/modules/Application/*
/modules/Recruitment_Settings/*

DF Guild Application w/ Recruitment Block

Quick question. Is this integrated or dependent on having some form of wow Roster installed?

I am getting these errors right off the bat.

Used the file structure that robojerk posted for dragonfly. And it's spitting these errors with 2.2,

Code: Select all

DF Guild Application w/ Recruitment Block

Postby gyrantol » Sat Jun 16, 2007 5:43 am

Razac what it is the Recruitment block images point to the following...

images/class_images/druid_small.gif

myself I change this everytime to point to the wowroster images... or now the application mod images...

Could you either provide these images in the zip or change the block to point to the app mod images it may stop some confusion :)

Thanks

DF Guild Application w/ Recruitment Block

Postby Deeo » Sat Jun 16, 2007 6:56 am

So, me again.

sorry for doubleposting

after Testing, following found:

--> "Select an Age Group" is not translated.

--> in language file there is a "_Closed" Value for the Recruitment Status, but the value requestet is "_Close" (fixed that by myself)

--> if i use anything than "Open" for the Recruitment status, Status is always "Closed".

--> if status is Closed, in the Block "Closed" is not translated. (it is red, but english).

--> there are to much Points for the Expectations or Classspecified Pre-Requisites. (Actually there are 3 at the Guild Pre-Requisites, but i have only 2 inserted.)

so, the pics are now working, and most of the Block translation works also. didnt try if the new Database entrys are working.

But, its really usefull now...

hope you could fix this things really fast, and they arent to much work for you. But that doesnt seems so.

Thanks for all that work.

for watching a working application with german language file:

greetings
Deeo

Deeo can you not change line 168 of application.php in the language files.

Mine says

Code: Select all
define('_AGE_SELECT','Select an Age Group');

would it work if you changed it to say

Code: Select all
define('_AGE_SELECT','Wählen sie eine Alters gruppe');

also line 287 on request_form.php

or have you tried that already?

Hmm will look intot he language...

it was always useable with Forums Pro v2 only

what ya mean the admin section? the are that you change the settings to the roster or the admin that displays the applicants. they should all work...

I probably wont get to this till mondya so Im hoping you can hold tight. I may try tonight

Some issues......

In the application it asks for Time Zone and only Western Hemisphere zones are available, please remember some of us are in Europe when you code these :)

Also making the 'add link to armory' be a lick they can open to the armory (perhaps with the char name already selected)

Lastly: on submit of application:

Thank you !

Thank you Adella for submitting your request.

Your application has been submitted and we will be contacting you shortly.
A database error has occurred

The webmaster has been notified of the error

And note that no application was actually sumbitted.

The mailed error was:

Code: Select all
On /index.php?name=Application&file=confirm
While executing query "INSERT INTO cms_recruit_data (Name, email, age, time_zone, charname, class, lvl, talentname, tpoint1, tpoint2, tpoint3, prof1, prof1_lvl, prof2,

the following error occured: Incorrect integer value: '' for column 'tpoint1' at row 1
