DF Guild Application w/ Recruitment Block

Postby Anaxent » Sat Jun 09, 2007 5:34 am

I was thinking we should also have another form to set the officers for each class then we can display them on the main application form and maybe even into a tooltip in the recruitment block. The reason why I was thinking of this is because I wanted to mabe redesign the main index page and build more of a table view of all the data there more or less organizing it and while I was thining of thisI thought It would be cool to see the officer for each class and maybe is roster is installed have links to there profile in the roster. On that note we should also have another form to see the roster module name if it is installed

Code: Select all

$roster_dir
$row['roster_dir'];

if (!
is_active($roster_dir)) {

$content 'ERROR';
        return
trigger_error($roster_dir.' module is inactive'E_USER_WARNING);
}
else{
$content =  getlink($roster_dir."&file=char&cname=".$player."&cserver=".$realm);
}

I hope you get the idea

DF Guild Application w/ Recruitment Block

Postby Deeo » Sat Jun 09, 2007 4:53 pm

hmm okay, thx Robo for the Link. Following Problem:

the new Block doesnt work properly:

no Translations and if you setup the Recruitmentblock, you get a "Database Error Occured" - Error:

Code: Select all
there was a problem saving the data to the database. Please check the syntax of your sql commandSELECT u.username, u.user_id FROM cms_bbgroups g, nuke_bbuser_group ug, nuke_users u WHERE ug.group_id = '0' AND g.group_id = ug.group_id AND ug.user_pending = '0' AND u.user_id = ug.user_id ORDER BY u.username

So this are my known issues:

- If translating the status of the desirability, the status isnt shown anymore. (Recruitment Settings and Application Page)

- The translations doesent work with the Block

- Block issues SQL-Syntax Errors.

Robojerk, from now on please just upload your files using the forum or just upload it to our download section here then it can be updated from there per versions even allowing a simple change log between versions.

<---- Rule breaker!

It was late, and they were talking about not being able to download. I just put up a mirror. I was following in a line of posts with links to the module located elsewhere and not on these forums..

Monkey see, monkey do.

I dunno what it could be, I still get exactly the same error as the last version. Basically I did the following to resove the issue:

-deleted my entire df install and db.

-reinstalled with a clean version, loaded up my theme.

-installed the default modules that come with df.

-Downloaded 2.2

-copied JUST the Application folder to modules

-went to modules and clicking 'Install' for 'Application'

response is:

INSERT INTO cms_recruitment VALUES ("Open", "High", "Closed", "Closed", "Closed", "Closed", "Closed", "Closed", "Closed", "Closed", "0", "1", "", "", "", "", "", "1", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "1", "0", "", "", "0", "0", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "")
Out of range value adjusted for column 'post_id' at row 1"

In case you wonder, I also tried to copy over and in the other related folders but it just isn't merging the db for install. I can't UNInstall because it never actually installs in the first place. There is nothing in the db getting the data.

It hates me, I tell ya. Mind you I have been able to install all other modules and blocks and it's only this one that always gets that same error. So you can't really say it's something in the system sepup because it's exclusive problem to THIS module.

mysql Server version: 5.0.24-community-nt, MySQL client version: 4.1.7
, MySQL charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8) , utf8_unicode_ci. Master Server: Apache 2 for Windows. DF version 9.1.2.1.

I do offer to the module developer that I will grant them access to the root folder for that site and Admin access to the df since this is not yet a live installation and I can just as easily change the the system passwords after it's done if they wish to see it in person.
