I'm trying to make a joomla module to display the menu.php 'Members: #' list on the left side of the main menu. hoping it'll be a simple query, any help would be appreciated.

this might work, I just looked over the joomla module tutorials and I think this should be ok.
Read through the code and change what'cha need to (table name, output text, etc)
