umlaute and other signs

Hi,

we are running roster, uniuploader and uniadmin now for about a week with the actual versions and your work really rocks!!!

But we have some Chars in our guild with german "umlaute" or other signs in the charname.
Like Hímbeere and Wolferíne (the í ) or Liselmüller (the ü ).

Can you please tell me what I have to do, that those guys can use the Signature and the avatar? There is a file created for each Char (i.e. [url=http://www.bewahrer-azeroth.de/rooster/addons/siggen/sig/Liselmüller.png]Liselmüller.png[/url]) , but this files can not be shown in any browser.

Yes they can, they are saved as a utf-8 encoded name, same as how the db stores it

Look where siggen saves the images, then look for something similar to those names

I have similar problems, but I could not solve them the way you mentioned.

I have a char in my roster called "Alineá".
When Siggen saves the signature for her, it results in a file called "sig-AlineÃ¡.png" which my forum cannot show...

Sorry, saving images is limited to how roster stores the name
