I know it's best time to do so, but was jsut near finishing installing everithing if rosterDF will bea full fletched release, I will wait to install new DF version... if it can be installed as a module, I will not wait, jsut that

I just noticed the new version of DF was up today. I have to agree that I'm not looking forward to the upgrade. *cries* Put alot of work into getting my site setup the way I want it, and from what I've read the DF team has a habbit of changing how things work from one release to another. (in terms of themes and such).

Hopefully, this goes off without a hitch and I only have minor fixing to do.

Anyway, looking forward to the new DFRoster version! Hope to see it soon!

new to the forums, but have used wow roster from time to time, being the stand alone and the port for phpnuke...will also be glad to help out with the testing of the 1.7.2 port to DF.

Ok I have installed df 9.1.1 onto my testing server and love alot of the new features it already has. I almost have all the linking done for wowrosterdf and am waiting to get the installer/upgrader upto date with this new version for further testing of this port. I have also thought about adding a file to the module Your_Account/blocks to show some roster data with in the DF users profile page, just not too sure what would be good to see on this page. I do plan on rewritting one of the files in so that it would include rosters sig/avatar in place of DF sig/avatar if wowroster is installed. I will keep working on this until its done I thought I would have my 3 days off this week to finish up but unfortanatlly I may only get one of them. I do plan on having this port done before tbc releases though next week if not a full release a beta will be avaliable.

I used the standalone and the nuked roster for along time, and just recently switched to DF (based on the thread I started up in the general forum) and am pretty excited about having a roster DF.

Anything that links into the already smooth install/update DF feature is going to be slick. Also, any way to easily get good WoW sigs directly into the site that my users can figure out would be mucho awesome as well.


Im not all that up and up on the development process with Roster or with WoW, but with this coming out so close to TBC, I'm a little nervous.

Is everyone pretty confident that Roster 1.7.2 will be a-okay with the TBC release, or will there most likely be a roster 1.7.3 to handle it, and then a lengthy process to update any modified versions (like you are workin on). Not that the update cant be done; just that I have no Roster now.. so im thinking in terms of convienience and effort =)

Nutshell: Assuming it comes out before TBC, should I do the DF-Roster... or should I wait to see what happens after the TBC release?

if youre gonna mod the MyAccount page then here are soem suggestions

display all characters that this account uploaded. even those not in the guild ( if possible ).

Allow full display regardless of roster settings of char data in the myprofile window, so that you can still see your own bags on a restricted site

radio button to select which char u want to use a siggen avatar for

etc

I like the idea of adding a MyAccount hack.

Well... i rather see a Roster menu instead of a myprofile hack since there is alot of my profile modules/hacks out there if ye wanna reach the maximum compability DONT rely on allreay coded modules

A profile hack would just be a file that drops in the "/modules/Your_Account/blocks" directory that displays one or more character profiles mapped to a DF account.

WoWRosterDF is coming along very nicely

All the links are LEO compatible
There is an upgrader from the last version
Includes the luaparser and wowdb fixes
And most Roster addons *might* work out of the box (still in progress)
