1.1b update not solving install issue

ok ive just noticed that ROSTER_SCREENTABLE is defined in the conf.php so i shouldnt have to rename anything, i dont think.

One last thing that I think is mentioned in the install instructions.

Make sure the the Screenshots Directory has Write access.

oki,
for my part...

when i enter admin section, no image appear
same thing in gallery... no image

uploading seem to works..

any idea ?

check the database and make shure that the images are inserted there

Yes its finally working, for some reason it hadn't created the screenshot folder so after creating one in the main roster dir and making sure that the dir has write access it now seems to work ok.
It's strange that the addon itslef was unable to create the necessary tables and folders but having managed to do this manualy i can honestly say it was worth the effort.
Looking forward to seeing the new version of roster gallery once it is completed.

can you post sql code for proper DB install in phpmyadmin and exact directory structure for screenshot ?

coz no value in my DB and no directory named screenshots ^^ i do it myself but no result...

ok to do a manual install log into phpmyadmin click on databases and then click on the database that roster uses. Then click on operations in the top right and you should now have a box Create new table on database xxxxxxxx x being the name of the database that roster uses. type in roster_addon_screenshots and give it 6 fields then click on go and you can then set the fields up as follows.
id` int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment,
`file` varchar(255) NOT NULL,
`caption` varchar(255) NOT NULL,
`ext` varchar(255) NOT NULL,
`catagory` varchar(255) NOT NULL,
`approve` varchar(3) NOT NULL,
PRIMARY KEY (`id`)
after that is done you need to create the screenshots folder in the main roster dir i.e /roster/screenshots and the screenshots directory needs to have write access. Once I had done all the above roster gallery seemed to work fine.
hope this helps but it would be a much better if the addon did this all for you correctly in the first place. Weather it's just a problem for us users that use phpmyadmin or not I cant be sure but fingers crossed Ulminia will get this fixed.

Ok it seems that roster gallery wont accept certain jpgs. Pictures produced from screenshots seem to work fine but when i try to upload other jpgs i get the problem as shan_aya it just wont upload it to the screenshot dir or add it to the database. Ive included 2 files for u to look at one called darkoz which uploads and displays fine the other is called lifetaker which i just cant seem to upload any ideas on why this might be happening?

.jpg is not jpeg complient ???

oki, screenshots directory wasn't is right place ( i put it in gallery directory ^^)

now,
SOME .jpg are upload right
BUT category doesn't work for my... i always see all picture, uploading in different category indeed....

EDIT : category works on 1.7.1 roster not on 1.7.0 ^^

I do apologise and yes your're totaly right the secound image was not a true jpeg. Because it had .jpg as an ext and the creator assured me it was a jpg i just took his word for it but after converting it in image ready to a true jpeg it uploadded no problem. I could be very well mistaken here (i often am

) but wouldnt it be possible for the roster to check if the image is a true jpg or not and if not then it could produce a message telling you so and sugest that the user try converting it and trying again. Im sure ive seen some code that does this but i can't remember if it was just checking the ext of the file in which case it'll be no good or if it was able to check the file itslef. I'll see if i can find it again and post it here if it is of any use.

The only other problem I have now is exactly the same as shan_aya, all the pictures show up no matter what catagory you chose ive checked my database and the all the pictures have been giving the correct catagory. I'm also a little unsure as to what shan_aya ment by "EDIT : category works on 1.7.1 roster not on 1.7.0 ^^" and weather or not this fixed the problem.

I Hope you dont think that im being a pain in the behind (although im sure i am XD)but im starting to think this could be more of a server problem than with your programing as both
shan_aya and I are using phpmyadmin.

COOKIES/LOGOUT "error" : only with firefox, if you click on category, you go to admin section, "pre-logged".Deleting cookies soluce error FOR ONE TIME only

BUT

category works perfectly on host :free.fr but not on guild-hebrg.fr ??? same install, DB is filled ... i don't understand why ?
