Due to my setup, I need to enter proxy settings.

Switching to advanced mode, going into help. it says under options there is this

"Security:
Here you can specify a domain/username/password for basic HTTP authentication."

thing is, when I actually look under options, there is no security heading and no security options. i've looked everywhere else to find a place to put in these settings and get no where as well.

any help would be great.. thanks.

utilization of a proxy server isn't related to basic http auth.

but by going by your description there then, yeah I need to authenticate through a proxy.

at my work we use an ISA server AS the proxy, but need no authentication to use it. the only "proxy" i can think of that needs and/or can use authentication is a SOCKS5 server

Totally possible, only problem is I dont have a lab with your network configuration to test and develop this with.
