Maybe this is a question about security.....not sure though.

Problem:
But lately we have experienced that only chars uploaded to the roster gets a huge amound og goldwhispers, and the ones not uploaded yet do not have these annouying problem. Is the roster somehow beeing hacked/scanned or anything like that?
Just wondering maybe others have had some problem alike....

I do know:
But one thing i´m sure of is the fact when those goldies can use the roster as an addressbook for whispers the use of it will be frozen totally in our guild. All the time and effort making guildie using the roster will have absolutely no effect any more.

Suggestion:
Maybe a solution would be to somehow have a welcome screen output a random number and let a user input that for access......so that bots can´t scan the roster if that is what´s taking place.

I like the roster a lot but i´m sure that the popularity will drop drastically if as i mentioned goldies kan use it as an addressbook!

Most likely not, they might just be looking at Roster, it does have all the info there...

This is one of the many things we'd like to prevent in Roster, the good news is that Roster version 1.8 will have an authentication system, so you'll be able to block visitors to roster if you so choose
Expect 1.8 sometime after BC is released (we need to incorporate some massive changes for BC)
