If you take a look at my guild bank at http://www.burninghatred.info and click on bank you will see that some items are listed under miscellaneous items. Any idea how to fix this?

That happens when you're missing tooltips. The tooltip text is used to decide how to classify things.

The most likely cause is use of an older CharacterProfiler. There was a bug that only saved tooltip text if you explicitly used the Save button on the Character window. Get the latest CP addon. It fixes a number of things.

You can also wrap it in an installer to make it easy for your less-savvy members to upgrade. I did this for my guild:
