I have the following error on a fresh install of the Roster 2.0 Beta svn[1377] :
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '=', expecting ')' in /home.10.7/pgmasson/www/genese/roster_20/lib/config.lib.php on line 419

change line 419 "function processData( &$config=null, $where='1')"
to "function processData( $config=null, $where='1')"
to "function processData( $config=null, $where='1')"

Just to say I had the same issue with an upgrade and this fixed it.
