Can we get the ArmorySync addon ported to DF?

This would probably be one of the most used addons if it can be ported to DF.

The current version works in WoWRosterDF. It does however slow down the sql server to a crawl while it is updating and I get emails about how the sql server cant be found if anyone is surfing the forums while the script is doing it's thing. After a minute, once the ArmorySync script is done, everything works like it should again.

Ah, I did upload it and try it, but it does not seem to do anything. I tried it both as a normal user and logged in as the Admin. Do I need to edit any of the files to make it work?

That version works for me without any modifications. You have to be logged in as an admin for it to work.

I uploaded the version you posted, but get this error when I click the Armory Synch button:

Maybe its just me not getting it... and i still can't get it from the normal addon thread...

but what does this addon provide that isn't already provided in Roster?

What is it actually bringing to my table?

A quick rundown would be awesome.

So.. regarding the stuff that it Does Not do:
thats okay, because CharacterProfiler and standard Roster functionality do that anyway.

Regarding the stuff it Does do:
-Updates guild Member list with WoW armory (buggy)
** Isn't this what GuildProfiler and Roster do already without armory but not buggy?
-Updates character profiles with WoW armory
** Isn't this what CharacterProfiler and Roster do already without armory?
-Currently synchs attributes, equipment, resistances, skills, and reputation
** Isn't this covered by CharcterProfiler, Roster, and maybe MaxResist addon?

I guess I am not seeing the advantage?

Does this pull for Every guild character, instead of having each member update their own? If thats the case, than I can see it being useful; if it is for individual members, one at a time, than I am failing to see how its different. Particularly since Armory isn't always up to date.

I totally apologize if I am being a total doofus here... more than once an answer has stared me in the face, to no avail =)

That is indeed what it does. It's meant for those member hat are too lazy to update.

It does come with a config file you can edit. Like I said earlier, it does seem to stall (hog) my mysql server while it is updating. Here is the default config so if you have user's that update regulary you can set it to be more conservative. I only update players who haven't updated for a few weeks and only update characters > lvl 50.

Is this AddOn something that you may look at to port correctly to WoWRosterDF? It seems to work for some DF users, but not others.

The error was caused because 2 files were not inlcuded.
open the index.php file and change the first 2 lines to this
