This hack allows you to embed streaming video's and MP3's into dragonfly forums, news and anywhere else BBCode is used.

Here's an example[url=http://www.ehpdemo.com/ForumsPro/viewtopic/t=8.html]
Example of .flv file playback with the embedded Media Player[/url]

Adding video to your DF site

I know this is not roster related, but it works in all modules (including news) so you can show off a boss kill on your front page without hosting the video yourself. Or post a video of some other guild killing something if you're looking for strats, then there is the cool factor to post random videos for entertainment.

Updated...

The author added some tweaks to the flash player (.flv files) and now shows a thumbprint. Example

The developer also added a way to use better lists in your bbcode.

[ol] Ordered List
[ul] Unordered List
[li] List

[list] still works

Here's an example of how the lists work, code + screen shot of result.
Code: Select all
[ol][li]test[/li]
[li]test[/li]
[li]test[/li]
[li]test[/li]
[li]test[/li][/ol]

[ul][li]test[/li]
[li]test[/li]
[li]test[/li]
[li]test[/li]
[li]test[/li][/ul]

The developer of the forum tags hack has decided to take an all new approach to how bbcode hacks will be done.

Forums_Tags is dead, but with it's death the NBBCode Module has been born.

New Forum here.
Project status here.

EHP Designs wrote:This will be a module to allow an admin interface to add/edit/etc content included within the nbbcode file.

Due to the nature of previous hacks for the nbbcode file, it has become increasingly popular among the general public and a more "user friendly" interface is needed so that the wide range of DF site admins can utilize it.

Planned features:
Admin Interface

1. Allows for ease of activating/deactivating features/buttons
2. Choose between original or tabbed format
3. Ease of installation, just like a standard module
4. Will use an SQL table to store all data

Additional Text Buttons

1. Uses all the standard text buttons from nbbcode
2. Adds a few additional ones from the Forum Tags Hack

Flash Media Player

1. Will include the Flash Media Player
2. Hope to have flashvars to be customizable in Admin Interface

New Feature for MP3 Player

1. Will include a new feature for faux equilizers by default
2. Hope to include flashvars in the Admin Interface as well

Video Website Buttons

1. Will include all Video Website Buttons from previous hacks
2. Am looking into adding others (currently looking at AOL and Yahoo)

DF Version Specific

1. Will include installs for DF 9.0.6.1 and DF 9.1.1 as their nbbcode interface does vary

What is the error?
Did you get the email activation link?
Did you click on it?

nbbcode development/test release is now available..

This release is not for production (your working guild site) sites. This is for development and testing.

ForumsPro 2.0.1.0 is going to be released soon (changelog).. This version of ForumsPro does some tweaks to BBCode that MAY NOT be compatible with the upcoming NBBCode module (dev discussion).

It is possible to get all the bbcode hacks to work but you will need to edit the following files in ForumsPro 2.0.1.0

/includes/fpbbcode.php
/includes /javascript/fpbbcode.js
/language/english/fpbbcode.php (substitute your english for your language of choice)

I got a copy of the release candidate with all the extra bbcode stuff including a google search one.
